What is Plink Plonk Play?

It all started in 2021.

It was difficult having to build up quality music lesson resources in a brand-new school, and realising that so many of the music play-along videos out there had issues with note or rhythm inaccuracies, poor quality, were pedagogically unsound; basically just not user-friendly for teachers and students.

Tired of telling their students to ignore a wrong chord shown in a YouTube video, or having to search exhaustively through the content just to find something suitable and meeting their students’ specific needs, the idea of Plink Plonk Play was conceived - resources created by music teachers with almost 20 years of practical teaching-in-the-classroom experience, and with qualifications including a Masters degree in Education and Curriculum.

  • What if you could have music videos catered to the proficiency and readiness levels of your students?

  • What if these videos were created based on sound music pedagogies and theories of educators like Orff, Kodaly, and Dalcroze?

  • What if play-along videos had strategically timed and placed visual animation cues that made it easier for teachers and students to anticipate their parts?

  • What if the arrangements for each piece were carefully chosen and recorded, with realistic-sounding instruments and timely auditory cues to enhance students’ listening and performing experiences with the music?

Plink Plonk Play records original music arrangements of public domain songs, so there is no need to worry about copyright violations during public performances when using our videos. We know from experience how much work it already takes to plan and execute lessons, assessments, and concerts along with all the administrative tasks that go along with them.

Our products make it easier for you to just focus on teaching.
